Flydubai Starts Flight To IraqFlydubai has commenced its initial flight to Iraq by flying to the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdish region.

The low cost airline made this declaration on Saturday.

The FZ201 aircraft finished a three-hour trip to Erbil on Friday after it lifted off from the Dubai International Airport.

Flydubai's chief commercial officer Hamad Obaidalla stated that stability is coming back to Iraq and mainly to the Kurdistan area, and this makes Erbil an important gateway into the country.

Mr. Obaidalla stated, "Our new direct service will further strengthen the growth of the city by offering affordable and quality air links between the UAE and Iraq."

Iraq's gross domestic product (GDP) was approximated at $112 billion in the last year and the country's economic system was likely to surge by around 7% during the existing year (2010).
