Ford furthers Asia push in India and Thailand

Ford-MotorWith pronouncements of ideas of introducing eight new models of automobiles in India and founding a pick-up truck plant in Thailand with a joint worth $350 million with its partner Mazda Motor Corporation, Ford Motor Company is advancing its presence into the continent of Asia.

The company expects to attribute 70% of its profits in the next ten years to the Asian Continent particularly India and China.

It proposes to invest a substantial amount adding to the $500 million already spent in the Indian subcontinent by launching eight fresh models towards the intermediate of the decade to deal with the growing demand.

It hopes to transform India into the third leading automobile arcade following China and the United States.

The nature of demand in the Indian subcontinent is different than in China since India is termed as the sweet area of development where most people favor small reasonably priced cars while in China people in the subordinate cities are also now capable of purchasing cars.

But India is also expected to gear up and reach the same level in very less time owing to its greater base and market.
