Ford to hike Figo’s price
While the company is buoyed by the success of the Figo in the Indian market, Ford India has recently announced that it will be raising the price of its small car on account of rising input cost by next week.
The company refused to give any details of the hike but it launched the small car in the sales bracket of Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs 4.48 lakh in the Indian market.
Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Services), Nigel Wark said that the company has minimal control over this hike as the input costs has been on a rise for the past few months now.
Wark further mentioned the fact that the hike will be less than 2% of the price of the product but the company is working on the details of fine tuning its price so that it can offer the best deal to the Indian consumer.
It may be noted here that the Figo made its global debut in India in the first half of March this year and the product has been an instant hit in the Indian market.
