Unsecured Wi-Fi connections to be spotted by Mumbai Police With the aim to find unsecured Wi-Fi connections, Mumbai Police would soon be covering the streets with laptops in their hands.

It seems as a necessary initiative taken up by the Mumbai Police as there were many incidents of unexpected blasts and terror attacks and suspects using Wi-Fi internet for communication. The Policemen would be required to cover several areas and locations in the city, in the search of unsecured Wi-Fi connections.

Malaysian police seize 45 million dollars worth of drugs in 2008Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian police seized illegal drugs valued at 149 million ringgit (45.15 million dollars) in 2008, double the amount seized the year before, a news report said Saturday.

The police narcotics department also seized 38 million ringgit (11.5 million dollars) worth of goods and cash from drug syndicates, including seizing four boats, a piece of property, jewelry and 228 vehicles, director Zul Hasnan Najib Baharuddin said.

The tip was posted late Thursday at a discussion forum of www. tijuanapress. com. The content of the message suggested links to organized crime.

Police found the bodies wrapped in plastic, while the heads were in a black bag. The victims, believed to be between 20 and 40 years old, were not immediately identified.

Four gunmen killed in shootout with Philippine policeManila - Four gunmen were killed in a pre-dawn shootout with police officers in the Philippine capital Manila, a police official said.

The men refused to stop their vehicle at a police checkpoint in the Manila suburban city of Quezon, triggering a chase, said Chief Superintendent Orlando Mabutas.

When the suspects' vehicle hit a wall, the gunmen alighted and shot it out with police officers, Mabutas said.

Three of the suspects died on the spot, while the fourth gunman was declared dead on arrival in hospital.
