The guide suggests that parents should use light and informal moments, such as when watching TV, rather than sitting teenagers down for a "big talk".

According to the leaflet, the purpose of this approach is to encourage openness and honesty.

Muslim schools urging pupils to despise Britain

London, Feb. 20: A number of Muslim schools are promoting Islamic extremism and encouraging pupils to grow up despising Britain, a think tank report has claimed.

Youngsters are discouraged from playing cricket and board games, listening to western music and even reading Shakespeare plays or Harry Potter books by fanatics targeting classrooms, the research says.

Some children are even being told to shun "the evil system of western culture" and encouraged to live in "ghettos".

The vile diktats appear on school websites or on other Internet sites linked directly to school sites and operated by fundamentalist groups.

160 new Tamil schools to be built in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Feb. 17: About 160 new Tamil schools will be built across Malaysia, while 50 or 60 more which are facing problems will be refurbished within a year, The Star reports.

Human Resources Minister and MIC secretary-general S. Subramaniam said this after attending a dinner for the Yong Peng Tamil School building fund organised by the party's Yong Peng division.

"The MIC will always act as the guardian of Tamil schools and will look into solving problems faced by them," Dr Subramaniam said.

He called on the Indian community to cast aside differences and work towards progress for the community because a united voice could be heard louder.

According to management consultant James Adonis, who spoke to 2400 Australian employees, lazy and underperforming colleagues made the top of the hate list.

The next thing on the list that workers did not like was feeling unappreciated and unrecognised, while communication issues came third on the list.

Inconsiderate peers, lack of teamwork, negativity, and gossip and backstabbing also made the top 10.
