Stock analysts have maintained ‘buy’ rating on ONGC stock with an intraday target of Rs 675.

According to them, interested traders can purchase the stock between Rs 658-662 with a strict stop loss of Rs 650. If the stock market remains on positive track, the stock pricing becomes more attractive, and reach above Rs 685.

A new study conducted by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) stated that genes mutation involved in maintaining the structure of heart muscle can result in a sudden cardiac arrest.

The study revealed that mutation in the gene, Myosin Binding Protein-C (MYBPC3) can result in coronary failures, which resulted in sudden death.

Dr. Lalji Singh, Director of CCMB who conducted the study told that heart attack may be caused due to many reasons, and a few of them are also related to genetic disorders or one’s lifestyle.

The state-owned LIC Housing Finance has posted a 26.70 per cent increase in net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008.

Its profit stood at Rs 134.33 crore in the reporting quarter as compared to Rs 106.02 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year (December 2007).

The housing finance company has posted a growth of 39.41 per cent in its total income for the three month period, which stood at Rs 765.09 crore from Rs 548.80 crore the previous year.
