Google and Djubo announce partnership to increase direct bookings on hotel websites

New Delhi [India], Feb. 6 : Djubo, a cloud based SAAS (Software as a Service) Product Company for hotels, and Google have entered into a partnership for increasing the share of direct bookings for hotels. The product will be known as Fireball.

In order to help all hotels get maximum coverage for their hotel and actual bookings out of Google, Google has launched this partnership where all clients of Djubo will get immediate visibility for their direct booking engine across all platforms like Google Hotels, Google Maps, Google Business Listing and so on and will be charged a commission only when a booking happens. As a result of this partnership, Google will use their algorithms and artificial intelligence tools to handle the bidding.

So far, Google was only entering into cost-per-click partnerships with other hotel tech companies which required hotels or their tech partners to pay Google for every click that lands visitors on the hotel's booking engine. The challenge with the earlier approach was that hotels and small business owners were not able to scientifically manage their bids and keyword selection on Google and ended up paying for clicks which were not giving bookings to these hotels.

"Traditionally, direct booking platforms for hotels like brand websites, booking engines and enquiry CRM tools contribute to 1 percent of bookings in India, while Djubo has been able to pull close to 7 percent through on- page SEO, price comparison widget, mobile friendly website templates and other partnerships. With the launch of Fireball we are hoping to increase the penetration of direct bookings further," said Sankalp Goel, Co-Founder and Director, Djubo. (ANI)
