Gujarat pins-up with one e-governance of plans

e-governanceThe Government of Gujarat has offered a single point solution for all kinds of e-Governance services.

The portal has been opened by State Minister Jaynarayan Vyas who offers 50 Government-to-Citizen services that offers the service to residents of state, Sify News reported.

The Gujarat's new e-Governance portal, applications aid in VAT (Value Added Tax) information, (hospital management), e-dhara (revenue records), e-procurement, swagat (public grievance portal), jan suvidha kendra at district collectorates and city civic centers in municipal corporations that can be permitted. These services are offered in regional languages i.e., Guajarati.

Vyas stated: "The decision to put all services in a single portal is due to the fact that IT connectivity in Gujarat is now reaching villages and most of the departments are likely to have client groups in the villages."

It was further added that the portal comes with standardized content, printable forms that features in barcodes, repository of documents, public grievances, and SMS in addition to email integration. Citizens can also access other service websites like High Court, railways, state government welfare schemes, treasury and passport too.
