Hadfield hosts live Reddit AMA from space

Hadfield hosts live Reddit AMA from spaceCanadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has hosted a live Reddit for an Ask Me Anything (AMA) Q&A session from space on Sunday, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of the astronauts at the International Space Station.

Hadfield, who is the commander of the ISS, has made a second appearance on the AMA and the first AMA from space to answer questions about life in space. He answered questions about what the astronauts do in space and how they lead their lives at the floating outpost. He only answered questions for some time and went back to work. Answering to a question about time zone, he said that the team follows Greenwich time and switches off lights at night.

When asked about the smells of space he said that the, "The vacuum of space has no smell, but when we come in from a spacewalk the airlock smells like ozone, or gunpowder. It likely comes from the gentle off-gassing of the outer metal and fabric of our suits."

During the previous AMA session, Redditor described him as one of the most interesting people on the planet. Reddit's Ask Me Anything feature often features U. S. President Barack Obama, entrepreneur/philanthropist Bill Gates and rapper Snoop Lion.
