Hanung Toys Gets Rs 200 Crore Home Furnishings Order From US Buyer

Mumbai: Hanung Toys & Textiles Ltd has pocketed Rs 200 crore export order for home furnishings from a leading US buyer.

For exporting home furnishing to the extent of around Rs 200 crore, the New Delhi-based company has signed up the export order deal with the company.

Hanung said that the deadline for the order completion would be December 2009. The recent deal would bring better intensity level and proceeds to the company.

The company has thus far signed up long-run export agreements to the tune of $265 million.

Hanung Toys & Textiles informed that the toys they export to European plus US followed safety levels set by other importing countries.

Under home furnishings, it makes and exports wide range of sheet sets, curtains, duvet covers, rugs, comforters, throws, pillows, sleeping bags, cushions, bolsters and bean bags.

The company exports about 90% of its production of home furnishings to all major markets comprising, USA, Europe & Latin America.

The company’s shares ended the day after making a gain of 2.59% at Rs 154.30 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
