Hasan Ali Khan remanded for four days

Hasan Ali Khan remanded for four daysHasan Ali Khan, owner of Pune stud farm has been involved in a money laundering case has been put on remand four days in Enforcement Directorate’s custody as per orders of Supreme Court on Thursday. He has pulled up the trial court judge who had granted bail to him dismissing the agency’s plea.

It was not accepted by the bench of justices B. Sudershan Reddy and S. S. Nijjar the manner in which the trial court judge had rejected the ED’s contention and granted bail on giving lengthy order of it.

A plea was made by Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium to extend the initial remand of Mr Khan in ED’s custody for 72 hours to four days.

The bench said that it is extremely disturbed to stay on trial court’s order due to the extraordinary circumstances of the case which is affecting the entire investigation.

Looking at the complexity of the matter, magnitude of the case and extraordinary situation bench is deemed to fit to stay the order.
