HCC bags EPC contract worth Rs 167 crore

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), India’s leading engineering and infrastructure development company, has picked an EPC contract worth Rs 167 crore from Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited (A Government of Gujarat Undertaking) for Pumped Water Supply Scheme.

Under the deal, HCC will construct two reservoirs - one at Kesaria along with pumping station and second at Veeraval and a 62.28 km pipeline connecting these two reservoirs. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.       

In addition, HCC will be responsible for engineering, procurement and construction of all items including civil and associated infrastructure works comprising of supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all electromechanical plant and machinery including pumping station.    

It should be noted that under water supply scheme, the water will be drawn from Narmada main canal at Kadiali and will be carried through pipeline to Sonaria near Veeraval.

The stock of the company today closed at Rs 138 on BSE. The counter has made 52-week-high and low of Rs 146 and Rs 29 respectively.
