H&R Johnson to spend Rs 100 crore on expansionThe county's largest tile maker, H&R Johnson has decided to invest Rs 100 crore on the set up of a new floor tiles plant in Rajkot.
 
According to a company official, the new floor tiles facility, with estimated capacity of 15,000 square metre per day, will alone absorb investments of around Rs 50 crore.
 
However, the balance amount will be spend on expansion of the capacity of  existing wall tiles unit situated in Rajkot, which will grow to capacity of 24,000 sq metre per day, against present capacity of 12,000 sq metre per day, in next one year.
 
The new floor tiles facility is expected to become operational in the next three months.
 
The privately held firm is targeting a revenue of Rs 1300 crore this fiscal, a growth of 18%, against Rs 1100 crore in 2008-09.
