HT Career Quotient 2009 at city campuses

HT Career Quotient 2009 at city campusesStudents across schools and colleges in the city are finding their career paths at the Hindustan Times Career Quotient 2009 initiative that is being held on campuses.

The initiative helps students determine their aptitudes and attitude, suggests career options suited to them using assessment tests.

These tests, MAPP — Motivational Appraisal of Personal Potential — have been specially designed for HT by Assessment. com, a world-renowned organisation that designs psychographic tests.

The tests have been customised taking into account the Indian education system and scope for opportunity. MAPP tests are recognised across the world.

The initiative will be held at 19 well known educational institutions like NM College in Vile Parle, Springfield High School in Bandra and Bhavan’s College, Andheri.

“It is a very useful initiative because it opens up so many options for students who are very confused at this juncture and helps them determine a career path,” said Marie Fernandes, principal, St Andrew’s College in Bandra where the workshop was held on November 9 and 10.

It began in early November and has already been held in nine campuses and 3,500 students have benefited from it. The tests are meant for students from Class 9 to 12. By the end of December, it will have been conducted at 10 more education institutes.
