Hulu Plus app now Available on Nintendo’s Wii U console

Hulu Plus app now Available on Nintendo’s Wii U consoleEver since Nintendo's recent launch of its new Wii U gaming console, the owners have been seeing a `not accessible' Hulu Plus app icon on the console's menu. Now, that icon has finally become accessible, as Hulu Plus has officially come aboard the Wii U!

With the Hulu Plus app having been officially launched on the Wii U console now, Hulu subscribers will henceforth be able to make use of the video streaming service from their consoles.

In an announcement about the availability of Hulu plus on Wii U, Hulu said that the console's unique GamePad controller - which boasts a 6-inch touchscreen - has been integrated in the Hulu Plus app in such a way that it is an essential part of the video streaming experience on the Wii U console.

According to Hulu, the Wii U's GamePad - which apparently marks the most amusing piece of gaming technology since Wii's motion controller - can be used like a second screen for viewing videos. As such, when users want to do something away from the TV, they merely have to press a button on the GamePad screen's lower right hand corner to swap video playback to the controller.

For all those Wii U owners who have not yet subscribed to the $8 per month Hulu Plus service, Hulu is now offering the benefit of a free trial week, with the hope that new subscribers will be allured to service after testing it for seven days!
