The country’s largest private sector lender ICICI Bank has informed that it has entered into an agreement with BSNL Cell One to enable the latter's customers pay their bills through ICICI Bank's Web site.

Under the facility, the subscriber will be able to view their billing details on the Internet and pay accordingly by clicking a button. Their account will be debited for the billing amount and the proceeds shall be remitted to the BSNL.

The lender stated in a press release that now BSNL customers can pay their bills from their bank accounts or credit cards. In addition, they can view online electronic summary of their bills and can get email alerts before the due date.

Other than this, the bank is also offering online shopping mall facility wherein customers can pay after shopping online on a merchant's Web site.

It may be noted that ICICI Bank presently has various agreements with over 1100 merchant Web sites, across the globe for online shopping.
