ICICI Bank, the country's second largest lender by assets, has entered into a partnership with mChek, a leading mobile payment solutions provider, to offer services to all ICICI Bank Debit and Credit Card customers.

Under the agreement, ICICI Bank in association with Visa International and mChek, will issue electronic debit and credit cards. The move will offer lender's customers yet another secure and safe option of conducting hassle free transactions online.

Through the latest facility, the customers can perform various transactions like bill payments (postpaid, other utilities), prepaid recharge, money transfers, pay insurance premiums, buy air tickets, movie tickets or perform any other merchant transactions using their ICICI bank debit card or credit card account.

The lender claims that the card data, which is stored in a fully encrypted form on the phone, ensures full security and reduced risk of fraud for card based transactions. The consumer can activate the service by sending an SMS MCHEK to 5676709 or by calling customer care.
