Indian campaign ends as Saina crashes out of Malaysian OpenIndian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal has crashed out of the Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament after losing her match in the quarterfinal at Johor Bahru on Friday.

Saina, the second seeded, lost her match against Chinese qualifier Xin Wang by 14-21 10-21 in the quarter-final of the Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament on Friday.

In the first set there was a tough competition till the fist 15 points but after that Saina struggled to continue her good show as Wang won six straight points thereafter to win the set.

In the second set also after lagging behind by 7-8, Saina eventually lost the set by 10-21 and her campaign came to an end in the Malaysian Open.

Indian campaign at the Malaysian Open has came to an end as top seeded duo of V Diju and Jwala Gutta also crashed out as they were defeated by unseeded Indonesian pair of Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Vita Marissa in the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles event by 8-21, 21-14, 21-16.
