Indian consumers may get fast internet

Indian consumers may get fast internetAirtel has announced to launch its broadband VDSL services to few selected regions of the country, presently New Delhi and Gurgaon. Airtel's VDSL services boasts a speed of 50 Mbps.

In case of bandwidth services, India is always counted as backward when compared to other countries of the world.

Few years back, India was just dependent upon dial up networks and the best broadband connections use to provide a maximum speed up to 2 to 4 Mbps but as the time runs and technology enters the Indian market, situation has improved at a faster rate.

Last year, Tata had announced its 100Mbps services in the country and MTNL had also chosen the same track and launched 20Mbps VDSL (Very High Bitrate DSL) service.

Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore will be upcoming states for Airtel to launch its new broadband services.

Airtel is using VDSL technology which is 12 times faster than presently ADSL technology. This service will be offered at a price of RS 8,999 per month with 200 GB free data transfer.

VDSL claims to provide a greater speed , and can offer a song download in few seconds. If one is using internet at homes then a slow speed internet service can be sufficient but if you use internet services for commercial use in offices for downloading then VDSL has no match.
