Indo – Pak joint statement disappointing: JaitleyNew Delhi, July 17 : Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said the Indo - Pak joint statement issued at Sharam - el - Sheikh in Egypt was disappointing and a reversal of India's long standing policy.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Jaitley said the joint statement stating "action on terrorism should not be linked to the composite duologue process and these should not be bracketed" has come as a surprise and also disappointment.

Jaitley said, "For long India maintained that as long as cross-border terrorism, state sponsored terrorism and terrorism emanating from Pakistani soil continues, there would not be any dialogue, but Thursday's statement was reversal of this stand."

Jaitley also demanded a full discussion on this issue and also a statement by the Government in Parliament. (ANI)
