Jeb Bush decides to identify himself as Hispanic

Jeb Bush took the decision to identify himself as Hispanic and it could create problem for him politically. However, it's not necessary.

The New York Times reported that, in a 2009 voter-registration application, which was obtained from the Miami-Dade County Elections Department, Mr. Bush marked Hispanic in the field labeled 'race/ethnicity'.

Team Bush has acted in response to the story and on the basis of this Tweet from Jeb Bush and it seems that it's an approach tried to downplay the story.

However, it is expected that there is probability that this could become a big deal, when it comes to elections. The reason behind this is that such symbolic thing is easy to make fun of and easier to know than some policy proposal.

The New York Times reported in 2000, "There is widespread support among whites for Mr. Bush's program, which would end preferences for businesses owned by women and minorities in bidding for state contracts. And it would end college admissions preferences based on race".

It is said that Bush's cultural experience is much different compared to most Americans. It is taken as a surprising thing that why marked that box, but it is logical to say that he's married to a Latina and his children are Hispanic.

Before the matter is figured out, the conservative base, which is unquestionably and passionately against immigration reform, and is already antagonistic to Bush, will be making use of this to persistently make fun of Bush and attack him.
