Abhishek Jha of Bangalore has won his maiden golf title as he lifted the title of the LG Tamil Nadu Open amateur golf championship at the Coimbatore Golf Club course on Friday.

Jha, the 22 year old boy, continued his good show on Friday as he fired a three-under 69 in the final round to finish at the top position of the LG Indian Amateur Tour.

While Rashid Khan of Delhi, the top golfer of India, finished at second spot as he scored a level-par card to end with six shots short from Jha.

Jha missed an eight-footer as his score stood at one-under after the first eight holes but after that he made a hat-trick of birdies to emerge as a sole leader in the LG Tamil Nadu Open amateur golf championship.   

Jha said that he has been pleased with his effort today as he was hitting the ball well and everything was going right for him today.
