Kesha talks about her struggle with eating disorder
Recently Kesha talked about her struggle with the eating disorder. She said this problem sent her to rehab last year. The singer shared her journey with Vogue.
According to her, “I’ve had a lot of ups and downs. It’s been quite a journey. I went to a dark place. There was a lot of not eating—and I started to think being hungry to the point of feeling almost faint was a positive thing”.
She said that compliments about her figure were not the easy ones. She said that the situation got worse as she received more positive feedback. She said that she was quite sad from inside, but people were used to say that she looked awesome.
She talked to her therapist regarding her condition; she also called her mother for help. In 2014, Kesha went to a rehab facility in the Chicago area. According to the singer, she went to eating-disorder specific rehab site and a nutritionist made her realize how important food is for her body. According to her, after that she realized that being healthy should be the priority and one of the most important things.
The singer said that she doesn’t consider the Internet or bloggers and surrounds herself with positive thoughts and people. She also said that every day, she runs a few miles on the beach, and also learnt Transcendental Meditation in search of peace.
Kesha looked amazing in her public appearances in recent months and showed off a toned figure rather than a skinny one. She has become so confident regarding her body that she frequently posts pictures of herself showing her flat stomach.
