Lady Gaga leads Billboard's 'Artist 100' chart for first time

Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 3 : Lady Gaga recently vaulted to No. 1 on the Billboard 'Artist 100' dated chart for the first time.

The 30-year-old singer soared to the Artist 100 (November 12) summit as her new album 'Joanne' debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 201,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 27, reports the American entertainment media brand owned by Prometheus Global Media.

Gaga had previously peaked at No. 13 on the 'Artist 100' dated October 1, when lead Joanne single 'Perfect Illusion' debuted at its No. 15 'Hot 100' highpoint.

Before that, the 'Poker Face' singer had reached No. 15 on the 'Artist 100' on October 11, 2014 when her last album before 'Joanne' debuted atop the 'Billboard 200'.

Notably, Gaga is the first woman to top the Artist 100 in eight months, since Adele topped the March 12 tally. Only five women have led the list since its inception including Taylor Swift, for a record 31 weeks, Adele (10 weeks), Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor (two each) and now Gaga.

Other artists featuring in the current list include Drake, 'Twenty One Pilots', Michael Buble and 'Pentatonix' to name a few. (ANI)
