Recent reports have revealed that the lawsuit on Perdaman would come under the scrutiny of the courts by the end of September. It was revealed by the CEO of the firm Mr. Nagaprasad Kandimalla. He was of the revelation that the hearing would be at Lancro Infra, on a date that shall be revealed towards the end of September. There are a number of speculations on the lawsuit; it is going to decide the next moves as well as the destiny of the two firms.

“Our business is running as usual and there is no problem on that front”, he said. The matter was that Lanco Infra had been imposed with a lawsuit for a sum of Rs. 16 733 crore by Perdaman. This was done for the alleged breach that had occurred in the supply of coal.

In the meantime, the firm has been able to bag a contract with the government of Tamil Nadu. This new contract has been drawn for the development of a coal block in Chhattisgarh that would be used for the generation of power.

Kandimalla was of the view that 50% of the power produced by them would go to Tamil Nadu and the other half would remain with them.
