Washington, Aug 15 : Those who want to rest in peace near Marilyn Monroe, and are ready to pay a huge sum for that, can now buy the crypt above the iconic star, which is on sale on eBay.

Elsie Poncher is auctioning off her husband Richard''s final resting place at Westwood Village Memorial Park cemetery in Los Angeles.

And the bidding for the burial site has started at a whopping 500,000 dollars on auction website eBay. com.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times newspaper, Entrepreneur Poncher''s widow has said that she is keen to sell off the burial plot so that she can use the money to help pay off the mortgage on her Beverly Hills home.

"I can’t be more honest than that. I want to leave it free and clear for my kids,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

She has claimed that her late husband, who died in 1986, bought the crypt from Monroe''s former husband, baseball great Joe DiMaggio. (ANI)
