Leander Paes To Act In Kohli’s 'Rajdhani Express'Leander Paes is ready to make entry in the Hindi film industry with 'Rajdhani Express'.

'Rajdhani Express' will be directed by Ashok Kohli.

Paes will be seen playing the role of a common man in the flick.

Leander, who is progeny of the noted Bengali poet and dramatist Michael Madhusudan Dutt, had been offered this film way back in 1996, but he was too engrossed in tennis and self admittedly, not 'ready' to take the plunge into acting.

While confirming this to media persons, sources close to the player said, ''Leander believed that one of his strength is to connect with people and he looked at different medium to do that."

"Tennis was one such medium and now it is films, starting off as a common man in this film,'' the sources added.

The sources said that Paes has always been an fan of Mahatma Gandhi, and when he saw the screenplay, it struck a chord with him, as it reflected Gandhiji's everlasting words ''Be the Change that you would like to see in the world'' in an entertaining and engaging way. (With Inputs from Agencies)
