Lululemon pulls off black Luon women's plants form shelvesAthletic clothing retailer, Lululemon Athletica Inc has announced on Tuesday that it is pulling out Luon pants from stores, showrooms and its website because of sheerness in the material.

The company said that it is removing black Luon women's bottoms from the market due to the sheerness in the material that was used to produce the affected batch.  The company also said that it already working with the supplier and other manufacturers to replace the clothing and resupply the stocks so that it is available for the customers.

The company said in a statement that, "The ingredients, weight and longevity qualities of the pants remain the same but the coverage does not, resulting in a level of sheerness in some of our women's black Luon bottoms that falls short of our very high standards."

According to the company estimates, about 17 per cent of all women's pants in its stores are affected and will be pulled off.  This is likely to have a significant impact on the company's sales due to shortages and non-availability of the pants in the market.  It also said that the affected batch of pants were available in stores from 1 March, 2013.

Lululemon CEO Christine Day said that the company regrets any convenience to the customers.
