Mahindra to build up production capacity to meet growing demandMahindra Two Wheelers, the two-wheeler arm of Indian automobile giant Mahindra Group, on Monday announced its decision to build up its production capacity to meet growing demand.

The company claimed that it received more than 30,000 bookings for its Centuro motorcycle in just 6 weeks of its launch.

Anoop Mathur, president of two-wheeler arm at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said that the good response the company received for the Centuro proved its strong value proposition as well as appeal amongst consumers.

Speaking on the topic, he added, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers and assure them that we will meet this demand in the shortest time frame possible."

The Centuro, which has Mahindra's MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5) engine, was launched on 1st of July this year. The MCi-5 engine is capable of producing maximum power of 8.5PS and a peak torque of 8.5Nm. It delivers an impressive mileage of 85.4kmpl.

The bike also boasts an Anti-Theft Alarm with Engine Immobilizer, an encrypted Remote Flip Key, Guide Lamps, Find Me Lamps, and an advanced Digital Dashboard equipped with a Distance-to-Empty (DTE) indicator.

The list of the bike's other striking features includes service reminder, economy mode indicator, a maintenance-free battery. In addition, the motorcycle is backed by a five-year warranty.
