Mahindra & Mahindra Posts 28% Increase In Sales During May 2012Mahindra & Mahindra’s domestic sales witnessed a growth of 24% whilst passenger vehicle section posted an increase of 27%.

The company has posted 28% growth of sales with overall sales of 43,988 units during the last month as compared to 34,323 units in the corresponding period of 2011.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s domestic sales registered 39,938 units in May, with a growth of 24% as against the same period of the last year.

The company’s passenger vehicle section posted an increase of 27% by selling around 21,154 units in May 2012.

While talking on the achievement, Mr. Pravin Shah, chief cxecutive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. stated, “We are happy to have achieved a growth of 28% during May 2012 in spite of difficult and uncertain market conditions. All our brands, especially those in the personal category are doing well.”

Mr. Pravin Shah added that with the projected ramp up of manufacturing capacitance and the re-opening of reservations of the XUV500 from 8th of June pan India, the company projects to meet up the demand of many more of their XUV500 clients.

According the reports, the company has affirmed to roll out six new models by 2012-13 end, with first two passenger vehicles the novel 5-Seater Xylo Mini and the Verito hatchback already in the line.

Mahindra Reva will roll out the Reva NXR later this year and there is small likelihood that the novel Scorpio will also be a part of this list, although there’re reports that it will reach market only by the year 2014.
