Mahindra & Mahindra sales increase 52.7% in NovemberIndian automaker, Mahindra & Mahindra has reported an impressive 52.71 per cent increase in sales in the month of November, 2011.

The company managed to sell a total of 40,722 units in November this year compared to 26,666 units sold in the same month of 2010. The company reported an increase of 51.63 per cent in sales to 38,159 units during the month, compared to 25,166 units in the domestic market, according to a statement from the company.

It sold 17,813 units during the month in the passenger vehicles compared to 12,323 units in November, 2010, recording an increase of 44.55 per cent in the segment. Sales of three wheelers increased 31.80 per cent to 5,889 units in the month compared to 4,468 units.

The statement also said that the sales of Gio and Maxximo mini-trucks and other four-wheeler commercial vehicles increased by 73.56 per cent to 13,362 units from 7,699 units. The sales in the light commercial vehicle rose 61.98 per cent to 1,095 units during the month, as against 676 units in November 2010.

The company's exports increased 70.87 per cent to 2,563 units in November compared to 1,500 units reported during November, 2010.

M&M Chief Executive (Automotive Division) Rajesh Jejurikar said, "We are delighted with our outstanding growth in November, wherein in spite of the market slowdown post the festive season, we have been able to maintain a consistent performance. All our brands are doing well, with the excitement around XUV500 continuing as we ramp up production."
