Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U. S. $7.1 billion Mahindra Group has yet again proved its mettle in the industry and has rightfully shown why it has been able to stay at the top of the charts when it comes to the sales in the Indian tractor industry.

In fact, while the company has been the market leader for decades, it is also the largest tractors player in the world.

The company has filed a rise of 29% in the month of May 2010 wherein the domestic sales of tractors of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. stood at 16608 units that were way up as compared to the 12870 units sold by the company in the same period last year.

Moreover, the exports for the company stood at 648 units as against 630 nos. for the same period last year registering an increase of 3%, the company filed an overall rise of 28% for the month of May.

It may be noted here that the sales for the fiscal till date are standing at 33558 nos. as compared to 25141 units for the same period last year, filing a 33% growth for the tractor major.
