Males Having Monotonous Voices Are More Attractive To Females

Males Having Monotonous Voices Are More Attractive To FemalesA research has suggested that males with monotone voices are more appealing to females.

Researchers stated that monotonous voices are linked with intensity level, supremacy and buoyancy.

The research conducted at universities in California and Pennysylvania, US, discovered that males having a steady tone had a significantly higher number of sexual partners as compared to their more expressive counterparts.

Scientists evaluated the voices of male volunteers in a range of situations, comprising a fake dating game and studied the outcomes.

The amount their vocal pitch changed - called fundamental frequency variation - was discovered to be straightly associated to the number of sexual partners the males had in the past year.

Professionals think that the monotone has developed as a sign of power and sovereignty.

They cited George Clooney and Clint Eastwood as examples of males with monotone voice but are thought sexy.

David Puts, who headed the study at Pennsylvania State University, stated, "The power would be attractive, not the voice as such. It appears that the women are preferring males who are higher in status. It would be the status they would be most interested in." (With Inputs from Agencies)
