Maruti and Tata’s Sales Down in June

Maruti and Tata’s Sales Down in JuneMaruti Suzuki and Tata Motors sales are at low this season the blame can be shifted to the inflation factor, increased fuel prices, or the new launches from Toyota and Ford.

The sales of Maruti Suzuki have gone down by 20,000 sales of vehicles, if compared with the May’s sales. A drop of 23% has been witnessed and the 8.8% drop in the Year-on-year sales of June. Earlier, the company’s workers went on strike at its plant in Manesar for around 10 and half days, which spoiled the production of Swift D’zire and SX4. Also, its Gurgaon plant was closed down for six days due to the maintenance issues. So, these reasons too contributed in drop of sales.

The other main factor of the low sales is the rising completion in the cars market. Toyota has recently launched Etios sedan and Liva hatchback, ford has launched Figo, Nissan has come up with Micra and therefore, there is lot of pressure in the market.

Alike Maruti, Tata Motor has not been able to attract customers this time, even though after applying new campaign strategies and with a few new launches like Indigo Manza Sedan, Aria crossover and hatchback Indica eV2 the sales have dropped.
