The leader in the Indian passenger car market, Maruti Suzuki will soon launch a new small car with a 1 litre engine. According to the sources close to the matter, the launch will take place by the end of July or by early August in the Indian market wherein the product will spot a KB series engine and the price range will vary from Rs. 2.75 lakh to 3.25 lakh.

Notably, the company has become the single largest automaker in the Indian market to cross the tag of one-lakh unit sales by selling 1.02 lakh units in the last month in the Indian market that were way up as compared to 79,872 units in the year-ago period.

Moreover, after the company has discontinued the iconic Maruti 800 from the 13 cities, it is believed that the company will soon be launching another small car for the Indian consumer.

Standing with over a 50% market share, it is believed that the upcoming product will gel between the Alto and the Spark, the two small cars in the lower end of the equilibrium.
