Maruti to touch one million figure tomorrow

Maruti to touch one million figure tomorrowThe country's largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki India will be touching the landmark of one million units in a fiscal tomorrow. This will be the first time in its 27 years history that the company will cross the one million figure in a fiscal.

The company has organised a special event at the Manesar plant in the presence of Osamu Suzuki and Haryana's Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda. The one millionth vehicle will be a red Swift and rightfully so as the product has contributed a lot to the growth that the company is enjoying in the country.

In fact, with the on-million landmark, Maruti Suzuki will join the company of automakers like Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, Renault, Hyundai, Suzuki and Nissan, who have already sold more than million in a fiscal before.

Experts believe that the first million may have taken a very long time for the company but the next million will be achievable in the next 5-7 years. According to the recent reports, the sales in the Indian automotive market are going to double in the coming five years. Clearly, the company is in a celebration mode currently but will be back on its toes soon to march for the next million.
