MMRCA deal hot topic at record breaking AeroIndia

medium multi-role combat aircraftAeroIndia air show is a five day show which begun on Wednesday at the Yelahanka air base. This is the eighth AeroIndia air show which has broken all the records in terms of number of visitors. The first three days ended on Friday has recorded more than 1.75 lakh visitors.

AeroIndia is all about business as focus is majorly on the biggest tender ever floated by India till date. Indian defense has to buy 126 medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA).   

As per officials, six contenders are fighting for the contract and it is expected that contract will be signed by September this year. This year, many aircraft manufacturers and air forces have participated in the show which shows that AeroIndia is gaining popularity.

Officials also said that the show will be open for public on Saturday and Sunday, so that public can enjoy the flying and observe the static display.

AeroIndia has been visited by lots of aviators and enthusiasts to watch the mesmerizing maneuvers such as sharp turns, rolls and spins by fighter jets from all major global manufacturers, including US Lockheed Martin’s F-16s, Boeing’s F/A-18s, Saab’s Gripen and the Dassault’s Rafale.
