Motherson Sumi Q1 PAT soars five-fold

Motherson-SumiLeading auto component maker Motherson Sumi Systems has declared its first quarter financial results for the current fiscal year. The company has managed to produce an impressive quarterly result in this reviewed quarter. According to the report, it has registered a significant five-fold net profit rise.

Motherson Sumi Systems has posted a consolidate profit after tax of Rs 59.55 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010 which is almost five fold of the profit figure of its corresponding quarter in the last fiscal.

The company has registered a net profit of Rs 11.05 crore in the same quarter in the financial year of 2009-10. Motherson Sumi Systems has informed this fact in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The consolidated sales of Motherson Sumi have gone up to Rs 1,858.63 crore during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11.

The consolidated sales were found out to be Rs 1,404.04 crore for the same quarter in the preceding year. There has been a growth of 32.38% in the total income of the company in the June quarter in the current year against its like period a year ago.
