Multiplexes to get deprived of movie releases

Multiplexes to get deprived of movie releases Bollywood is a place where controversies can never come to an end. Now the latest reports are suggesting that the Producers' Guild of India has taken up the decision that no more films would be released in multiplexes.

Chairman of Pooja Films, Vashu Bhagnani, reported that following the release of Delhi-6, no other Bollywood film would be released in multiplexes till negotiations with theatre owners begin.

The whole controversy took birth after when the Producers' Guild passed a statement saying that an imbalanced and unfair share is demanded by the owners of multiplexes in the profit of movies running in their theatres.

Bhagnani reported, "The movies will release in multiplexes only after the settlement with the multiplex owners. Every time they demand an increased percentage of profit in films despite the increase in production cost and the global recession effect on entertainment industry."

Bollywood producers are facing tough time as this year, the Entertainment industry is expected to grow at just 7% where as last year it was 12.3%.

Thus, producers have arrived on the decision that they are ready to delay the release of their films, but won't agree to the unethical demands of the multiplex owners.
