Delhi Metro plans to repair houses, shops damaged in mishap Residents of Kailash Apartments in Delhi have written an application to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Chief Minister and LG office after they came to know about the cracks appeared in the basement of the building under the impact of the girder break down.

A police complaint has also been filed regarding the matter by concerned parties.

Mr. Anuj Dayal, spokesperson of DMRC on Saturday stated that the rail corporation is setting up an action plan to mend the damaged structures.

However, he also added that after the inspection of site in detail, the Metro engineers clarified that cracks were pre-existing and are not linked with the Metro construction.

In the meantime, renovation work at the accident site is going on according to the plan.

To cut the fallen pre-stressed concrete girder, a mock drill having diamond cutters was conducted successfully at the site on Saturday.

Mr. Shirish Patel and other companions preceded their work of conducting technical audit of vital structures.
