Ford in Figo feverAfter struggling for years, Ford India has certainly got it right this time with the launch of its hatchback Figo in the Indian market.

Notably, the company has recently posted a rise of around 272 per cent growth in year-on year sales for the month of May when compared to May 2009.

While the total sales recorded by the company stood close to 8,080 units (all models) during the month of May that is way up as compared to the 2,168 units sold during previous year, the company's sales were around 7% up as compared to benchmark set in the month of April 2010. Michael Boneham, president and managing director of Ford India said that the company has received over 20,000 bookings for the Figo as it has been accepted by the consumers very well.

Moreover, Boneham also highlighted the fact that the company is very happy to see positive sales results month after month, and bettering our sales performance from last month.

In fact, with the second shift about to start at its plant, it is believed that it ill take the unit sales of the product even on new heights in the coming times.
