Samsung teases its all-new ‘Smart Hub’ TV platform ahead of CESWith barely a week to go for the world's biggest consumer electronics trade show CES, South Korean electronics biggie Samsung has recently a teaser video for its all-new smart TV platform - the `Smart Hub.'

The `Smart Hub' announcement was made by Samsung on its official blog, Samsung Tomorrow, which described the company's new smart TV platform as a "unique platform" for its connected TVs.

Revealing that the Smart Hub will boast an updated User interface (UI), Samsung said in the blog post that the new UI design will chiefly bring about an improvement in ease-of-access as well as user enjoyment; with the content to be divided into five sections.

According to the Samsung Tomorrow blog, the five sections in which the UI will be split up will be: the On TV section for covering `live TV'; the `Movies and TV Shows' section for video on-demand; the `Apps' section; the `Social' section; and `Photos, Videos & Music' section.

In addition, revealing that the `Flipping' function will help navigate the menu - having a tile-based layout - in a new way, Samsung said in the blog post: "In 2013, users can look to Smart Hub for a more intuitive experience with various contents, live TV broadcasts, VOD, apps, internet and such. All this content will be available on one screen divided into five sections, each holding a spot for a different category."
