The lawmakers have taken concrete steps to keep health laws of the country in pace with the current health care needs of its residents.

A House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee has recently revised version of the 21st Century Cures Act. The act has been passed with the aim of escalating the speed of medical breakthroughs and cures.

The act was inaugurated by Fred Upton, the chairperson of the House Energy and Commerce Committee together with Diana Degette, a Ranking Member of the Investigations Subcommittee.

According to Upton, such a step has been taken by Congress for the first time in the lawmaking history of America. Before this, Congress has never looked in and identified factors that played key roles to boost the speed of cures in the country.

He further mentioned he will check the whole process to get insights on science and the process of developing devices and drugs. By this the strength of digital medicines administered at high velocity can be ensured.

The AACR or American Association for Cancer Research was appreciated the effort of Congress to revise the 21st Century Cures Act. It also appreciated how the bill has been made more useful for patients.

The AACR also played a part in approving the revised version of the 21st Century Cures Act by supporting the committee and approving it.

This enactment has been possible due to months of dialogues between the patients, researchers, regulators, consumers, innovators and the eminent members of Congress.

The papers have gone through 8 hearings with over 2 dozens of roundtable meetings in order to generate ideas for this proposal. In short, the act was approved collectively by the AACR and the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

The AACR has decided to work together with the Committee to enable advanced and sophisticated basic clinical research. It will also keep on abiding the rules set by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
