Now, idiots club steps out to buy MPs!

Punjab, AmritsarAmritsar July 21,  While political parties are maneuvering for the final showdown on July 22, the common man is questioning the sincerity of our political leaders in bringing down inflation.

Activists of the idiot club here presented a skit today on horse trading by political parties.

Ravinder Rikhi, the president of the club, said the MP''s should barter support in favor of the UPA Government in exchange of cheaper food grains for their respective constituencies.

Attired like political leaders, members of the idiot club gathered at Lawrence Road, one of the busiest markets of Amritsar, on Monday and performed the skit, which attracted many passersby.

Kamaljit, a member of the club, said that the government should give priority to fighting rising inflation in the country, rather than focusing on the India-U. S. nuclear deal. He said political parties should spending their "horse trading" money on controlling inflation, rather than indulging in buy-outs of MPs.

The members of the club offered two quintals of onion or 200 litres of petrol or ration for a month to buy a member Parliament to cast his vote in the favor of Idiot National Party.

Bholu Amritsaria, another member of the club, said: "We idiots would like to humbly request the world renowned economist and the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, that the common man of India is suffering badly from the high price of basic commodities, and he should invite all parties for a discussion to curb inflation."
