Obama to be the Fourth President to Complete Rare Presidential Run through all 50 States

Next month, President Barack Obama will give a commencement speech at a South Dakota community college. South Dakota is the only place now that has not been visited by Obama. But the wait is only for a few more weeks.

Obama himself broke the news and affirmed that the he does not want his South Dakota friends to be ignored. Obama will be travelling to Watertown, in the state's northeastern corner. There, he will deliver the speech at Lake Area Technical Institute on May 8.

During his presidency, Obama has supported for community colleges. In the starting of this year, Obama has announced about a multibillion-dollar proposal in which community college tuition feel will paid for eligible students.

But the plan did not work out much in Congress. Obama has been to 46 states before January 1 rolled in leaving Idaho, South Carolina, Utah and South Dakota. In January, his State of the Union speech event was organized in Idaho and then a stop in South Carolina in March.

On April 2, Obama took a halt in Utah before he made a public appearance at Hill Air Force Base, near Salt Lake City, the next day. Only, South Dakota was remaining for the Obama visit and now, the wait ends in just a month.

It will be a rare presidential run in which Obama has been through all 50 of the United States. According to the White House Historical Association, Obama is the only fourth president to do so. Richard Nexon was the first and George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Most recent visit of Obama to South Dakota was in 2008. It was the time when he was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination.
