Washington, Feb 19 : Barely 27 percent of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the United States, a new poll has found.

According to the Gallup Poll, a majority of Americans, 72 percent, are however dissatisfied with the ways things were happening in the country.

Gallup said that that's still a slight uptick in satisfaction. In January, 25 percent of Americans said they were satisfied as compared to in December when that figure was 23 percent, Politico reports.

The results of the poll break down sharply along partisan lines, as 47 percent of Democrats said they are satisfied with the direction of the country, up from 39 percent last month.

The poll found that only nine percent of Republicans were happy with the way country was going, the report added. (ANI)
