Colombian pop star Shakira, U. S soul singer Alicia and Somali have rocked the site of World cup’s opening ceremony and entertained the whole country.

More than ten thousand people attended a star-studded inaugural ceremony at Orlando Stadium, Johannesburg where K’naan performed the best with his football anthem waving flag. At the opening match between South Africa and Mexico more than 34,000 people united to support their teams.

Mr. Zuma has opened the show with the president of World Cup organizing body FIFA.

The FIFA president has said that Africa is showing the world that they also capable of handling any matter in the world by hosting the World Cup.

Soul singer Lira started the evening with Pata Pata, of the late singer Miriam Makeba. Shakira, with a zebra outfit closed the concert with their official World Cup song Waka Waka.
