Panasonic teaming up with Best Buy for 3-D push

Panasonic-3DTV-BestBuyAccording to the recent news, Panasonic group has expressed its will to team up with Best Buy Co., America's leading electronics retailer, to play the new 3-D televisions in U. S. stores. The company is all set to provide the sets at discounted price close to 50%, as the Panasonic in play wants to push the technology drive in the market.

Panasonic's 3-D televisions are all set for a roll out on the U. S. red carpet on Wednesday. The step is considered as a strategy to convert the losses in the television domain, which has been posted in the last year reports in red lines, and further the company has already forecasted a loss in the game for the current fiscal year.

However, the company hopes to bring back the demand factor for its plasma sets with 3-D models. Plasma has lost its share in the recent times to the popular liquid crystal displays.

Panasonic is expecting a sell of 1 million 3-D televisions for the fiscal ending March 31, 2011, out of which the giant wants to churn out more than half of the sales from the U. S. market.

Panasonic is planning to display its several sets in the biggest stores of U. S. with the support of Best Buy, where the U. S. customers can try out 3-D televisions.
