Pantnagar arrangement not working for Nano vendors

Pantnagar arrangement not working for Nano vendorsAfter the company recently inaugurated its Sanand plant, the vendors are facing troubles are far as supplying parts to Tata Motors is concerned. Many are of a view that the Pantnagar unit that currently makes 200 units of Nano per day with the Sanand unit also eying a similar number, vendors are facing logistics as a major issue to feed the production of the world's cheapest car.

Notably, the production at Sanand is expected to be taken up to 1,000-1,200 cars a day by March next year.

The Sanand unit has a installed capacity of 2.5 lakh units that can further be expanded up to 5 lakh units, depending on the demand of the product.

However, the Pantnagar arrangement is not really working for the vendors. It may have worked for the small vendors but the rising pressure to supply to dual locations is certainly hitting the margins very hard.

But the company is surely trying to increase the production and is eying increased consumer response for its small wonder. The company is not taking the booking for the product for the time being.
