Bangalore, May 27 : BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa was today invited by Governor Rameshwar Thakur to form the government in Karnataka.
Meanwhile, Cabinet has decided to revoke President’s rule in Karnataka.
On Monday evening, BJP’s triumphant Chief Ministerial candidate, B S Yeddyurappa had met Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur to stake claim to form the government saying, “We have the numbers”.
His comment came after Independent MLAs attended the BJP legislative party meeting on Monday.
Bangalore, May 27 : The priorities of Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa now take new focus on making party leader L K Advani Prime Minister.
Yeddyurappa said that his priority would now be to win all the 28 Lok Sabha seats from the State in the general elections to ensure that the party leader L K Advani becomes the prime minister.
"Now, we have realised the dream of installing the BJP Government in Karnataka as per the wish of (party leaders) Atalji and Advaniji," Yeddyurappa said.
Yeddyurappa attributed the BJP's good performance in recent Assembly polls to the "betrayal of the Janata Dal (Secular)".
